This trip started in 2015 right after Christmas with Zi, a flight to Lima, Peru and a quick night at a hotel, then a flight to Cusco, Peru and one night there.  Then we board the train to Aguas Calientes where we stay for 2 nights and visit Machu Picchu for 3 days before heading back to Cusco for New Years Eve Party.  We climbed to the Sun Gate and to the top of Machu Picchu Mountain and toured the entire city.  We were unable to obtain tickets to climb Waynapicchu, the famed mountain in all the photographs (I took a couple hundred of these classic views).  I’ll show a few of them here but I really wanted to focus on the layout and architecture of this ancient and magical city in the clouds.
