You must stay under 20kg (44lbs) for checked bag(s) and 10kg (22lbs) for carry on for internal Russian flights.  I was over for my checked bags because I had to take touring clothes for Poland.  I was prepared to pay penalty fees, but Marek was under and we checked in our 3 bags together, the total was just under 40kg.
